Imperial donated 800 litres of diesel to assist firefighters in combating ongoing veld fires in the Rehoboth region of Namibia.
The fires started late last week about 50km outside of Rehoboth, which is situated in Central Namibia, 90km from the capital city of Windhoek. Many local farmers and firefighters helped contain the fires, and fortunately, no lives were lost.
Members of the Imperial team in Windhoek mobilised quickly, ensuring that the donated diesel was delivered to the affected area to assist the community in extinguishing the fire, which left over 22 000 hectares of farmland damaged in its wake.
Well done to our team in Namibia for their quick response and coming together to assist this community in their time of need!
